The Chandelier
Versailles 2008
I made this gown to celebrate the beautiful variety of chandeliers that can be found within the Versailles Palace in Paris.
This gown was inspired by the brilliant chandeliers found hanging from the ceilings of the Versailles palace. Finding myself hypnotized by the actual chandeliers whose sparkles danced before me in a magical array of light, I wanted to create a piece that was equally as brilliant—a gown that was both powerful and delicate.
